Experts Seminar on the Implementation of Sihir Crime Law in Malaysia

Jabatan Mufti Selangor (The Mufti Department of the state of Selangor, Malaysia) in collaboration with PISANG (Professional Islamic Support and Nurture Group) held its second experts seminar (Muzakarah Pakar ke-2) on the challenges for the implementation of sihir crime law in Malaysia on Wednesday 21st July 2010. The seminar focussed on the challenges of the prosecution of sihir criminals in the shariah court and was attended by about 140 experts from various disciplines e.g. experts in shariah law, academicians, medical doctors and Islamic Medical practitioners.

The success of the mobile clinic in Sheffield has prompted some members of the Muslim community in Bradford to invite PISANG to hold a private mobile clinic there. The closed event which took place on Saturday 22nd May was attended by about 60 people.

Selangor Zakat Board Donates to PISANG

Ustaz Abdul Halim Din, representing Selangor Zakat Board (Malaysia), today hands in donation of £1,920 (equivalent to RM 10,000) to PISANG. PISANG is very grateful for the donation and the money will be used to improve our services.

PISANG Opens Treatment Centre in Bicester

PISANG opens its new office and treatment centre today. The opening ceremony of Pisang House was attended by Hamidi Abdul Rahman, Nor Azian Ab. Rahman, Mohamad Hadi Talhah, Abdul Halim Din and Shamsina Abdul Karim.

PISANG meets Malaysian Students Department Cairo

Hamidi (Chairman) and Nor Azian (Secretary cum Director of Research) were in Cairo, Egypt from 23rd to 27th March 2010. Apart from meeting PISANG Mesir, the Hamidi and Nor Azian also had a meeting with the Dr. Jamil Hashim (Director, Malaysian Students Department), Ustaz Abdullah Mat (JAKIM Officer) and En. Zulkifli Din (Education Atache, Malaysian Students Department) on 23rd March.
